"[Immedia] has launched an in-store television advertising channel, in an attempt to boost the fortunes of his media company, listed on the Alternative Investment Market.
"[Bruno] Brookes, usually remembered for his husky voice presenting the Top 40 countdown on Sunday evenings, started Immedia Broadcasting in 1999 and floated it on Aim 18 months ago. It broadcasts in-store radio such as Dixons Live and earlier this month signed a deal to broadcast in the 400 largest HSBC branches.
"However, while turnover at the company has climbed steadily, Immedia has yet to break even and the shares have fallen from 110p when it floated to 44p. The company is now valued at £5.15m."
Perhaps owning the channel will improve Mr. Brooks' fortunes? Not likely, but hey, it's worth a shot. Read the rest of the article here :)
