"Premier Retail Networks (PRN) has confirmed that it has renewed its contract with U.S. retail giant Wal-Mart to operate its in-store media network known as Wal-Mart TV. In an interview with aka.tv, a spokesperson for San Francisco-based PRN confirmed the accuracy of a report in Inc. magazine stating that the contract between PRN and Wal-Mart, which expired in March, had been quietly renewed in April. The Inc report quotes Troy Steiner, Wal-Mart's senior director of media, as saying that the new contract contains 'no big changes' from the previous deal.
"Wal-Mart, which is currently undergoing a technological upgrade to its 2600-store digital-signage network, last year accounted for 87 percent of PRN's revenue, according to the magazine."
